For portfolio holders with at least 100 residential units or 16 buildings, DGC offers a significant reduction in climate-damaging CO2 emissions for so-called “Worst Performing Buildings” (WPB) using near-surface geothermal energy. This improves the efficiency class of the building to at least D.

With the option of flat-rate energy supply costs (heating, cooling, hot water), tenants and property owners benefit from total rental costs that can be planned in the long term. The environmental friendliness of the geothermal basic supply significantly increases the attractiveness of the property for tenants and owners.

Our potential study - your roadmap to the climate-neutral conversion of the property

The potential study covers six areas and examines all of the circumstances of your property in detail.

The starting point is the geological analysis of the soil conditions at the site. In addition, the necessary legal framework conditions, possible hazard potentials, as well as the complete pre-dimensioning for the geothermal development are dealt with. In addition to the lighting of the legal framework by our internationally renowned partner law firm, the detailed economic consideration with simulation models plays a central role in the study. These simulations show the economic advantages of the geothermal local heating network and thus represent an essential basis for upcoming investment decisions.

The extensive state subsidy options are put together individually and optimally for your property by our specialized cooperation partner as part of a subsidy management system.

DGC enables reduction of capital commitment

The near-surface geothermal energy - THE ALTERNATIVE to the classic and to a large extent equity-binding energetic renovation. The DGC offers the conversion of the entire property to "climate-neutral operation" for a flat rate in line with the market.

The installation of the DGC local heating network already achieves a share of at least 50% renewable energy in "WPBs" with energy efficiency class H. Thus, the required proportion of 65% of renewable energies can be achieved with far fewer energetic renovation measures.

Only through the DGC local heating network, with its high proportion of renewable energies, can investments for classic renovation measures be significantly reduced and thus open up additional opportunities to benefit from extensive government support programs.

No emission of harmful greenhouse gases due to the heat supply using near-surface geothermal energy. By using "green electricity" to supply the heat pumps, the building's emissions can be almost completely reduced.

Geothermal energy is considered to be the only renewable energy source that enables buildings to be reliably supplied with a base load 365 days a year.

The operating costs of the local heating network can be planned in the short and medium term, which enables the supply costs to be calculated based on legal requirements.

Buildings with radiant heating also allow for passive cooling, resulting in significant savings in initial and running costs.

Geothermal energy - the basis for the optimal energy mix

With base load supply from geothermal energy, the energy supply of the property can be further optimized by using other regenerative energy sources (wind, solar, biomass).

Reduction of energetic renovation costs

Buildings with fossil fuels have to be energetically renovated in the classic way, for example with thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) or new windows, in order to meet the statutory reduction in annual heating requirements.

Since the DGC local heating network does not cause any harmful emissions, the investments to reduce the transmission heat loss of the building are significantly reduced.

Conversion during ongoing property operations

Although the drilling for the local heating network represents a not insignificant construction measure, this work can be carried out without major restrictions during ongoing operation.

Geothermal local heating supply contract - advantages for owners, tenants and the environment

Contrary to the usual billing based on the amount of heat generated, the DGC heat supply contract offers so-called flat-rate contracts which, on the basis of the legal basis, grant tenants and owners maximum planning security over a period of three years.
